  • You can purchase 30 amp Maxi fuses at most auto parts stores. If you want the 25 amp Maxi fuse that goes in the top left fuse slot in an NCV3 (under the dash/left hand side) you may have to go to a Mercedes Dealer. You can put a fuse in especially to protect cables. The rating is hard to say. Fuses don’t blow instantaneously. They can tolerate inrush. I’d size the fuse according to the continuous rating of the cable. If you size the fuse for inrush you can have a situation where the fault doesn’t cause the fuse to blow and you start a fire.
May 10, 2016 · The 40 Amp Circuit Breaker is in the 25 amp fuse slot in the picture I posted prior, and seen below circled in red. If you did not have power seats, windows, or top you would instead have a 25 amp glass tube fuse. If you have any of these power options you instead have a 40 amp circuit breaker that trips and resets as seen in the picture I posted.
If your amplifier has an internal fuse, then your inline car amp fuse should be a little bit larger. For instance, you might want to use a 25 or 30 amp inline fuse if your amp has an internal 20 amp fuse. This white wire will need a 10 amp inline fuse and is connected to the fuse block.
