- The non-ported .560 Jebs in my buddy's M2 gives some of the best TSS patterns I've seen, nearly all pellets in the 20, but only 270s in the 10. Just really even great hunting patterns that are still good at long range. Comparing the M2 to the 870, I'd give a WAG that a .565 non-ported would be the way to go.
Jan 04, 2017 · Bought an Indian Creek turkey choke for turkey hunting, and that works awesome in my Benelli. As mentioned above, no good reason to buy other chokes unless you somehow have found a way to determine other chokes pattern better or if you simply like the handiness of extended tubes that you can remove by hand.

May 01, 2005 · A modified choke with steel shot will pattern the same as an IM with lead. Steel will "pattern-up" one choke size. The reason that an IM or F choke isn't recommended for steel shot is that when the shot is over-constricted, you can deform the shot and get a blown pattern.

Of course, any kind of shot can kill a turkey inside of 30 yds with the right choke but if you want to reach out a bit further with the most lethal ammunition you can buy, go with TSS. I have Indian creek and Sumtoy chokes all the way down to cheap undertakers and Primos Tightwad chokes that were 20$.. I personally think if your going to stick with TSS you should find a tighter ported choke.

Both shots of Apex Small Town Blend shot low and to the right. I believe it would be a good pattern but I would need to buy a red dot sight or something adjustable to move the point of impact.
